“Ситуація стала обговорюваною на російських каналах”, – Садовий про сутичку з військовими ТЦК у Львові

Clashes with TCC representatives in Sykhiv, Lviv, erupted after false information spread online. The report about the alleged detention of a 20-year-old guy became the catalyst for escalation.

This was stated by the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, in an interview with “RBC-Ukraine.”

“I am interested in investigating which news agency, Telegram channel, or blogger first published the information that a 20-year-old guy was detained. Because that’s where it all started, people began to repost this information,” he said.

Meanwhile, the information that a 30-year-old man, who was on the wanted list, was actually detained did not receive such publicity.

“And when the information later emerged that a 30-year-old guy, who was on the wanted list, was actually detained, it went by the wayside, ‘in the background.’ The effect of people united by a common desire for struggle and so on had already kicked in. And in this situation, I must give credit, the law enforcement agencies acted sufficiently well and professionally, as bloodshed was avoided,” Sadovyi added.

The mayor also noted that this incident was actively used by Russian information resources: “I am convinced that the investigation must clarify all the pros and cons, because during the war, this situation became a top story on Russian information channels, and there is nothing good in that.”
