
Sandra Oudkirk, a career diplomat, has become the new Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine. She succeeded Julie Davis in this role.

According to the department, Sandra Oudkirk is a representative of the senior corps of the US diplomatic service and has over 30 years of international work experience.
Since 2024, she worked at the US Department of Defense, where she held positions as Deputy Director of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and Foreign Policy Advisor to the US European Command.
From 2021 to 2024, she led the American Institute in Taiwan.
Professional Profile
During her work in Washington, Oudkirk dealt with issues of strategic competition between states, energy security, the implementation of economic sanctions, and countering the financing of threats.
She also has extensive experience working abroad, including in Taipei, Dublin, Ankara, Istanbul, and Beijing.
Education and Languages
She graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and speaks Chinese (Mandarin) and Turkish.
